More info

Sow amaranth in a nursery from April or directly in open ground in May, in rich, well-drained soil. Plant the seeds at a depth of 1–2 cm, with rows spaced 30–40 cm apart. Transplant the seedlings once they develop 2–3 true leaves, maintaining a spacing of 40–50 cm. Amaranth thrives in full sun and with regular watering, flowers from July to September, and produces edible leaves and seeds rich in nutrients.
