Tomatofifou: the tomato-lover’s Aladdin’s cave

What is it?
Tomatofifou.com is an online encyclopaedia devoted to the nightshade family—above all tomatoes—created by French collector François Gaborit.

  • 3,000 + tomato varieties are described, photographed and classified by colour, shape, earliness, culinary use, and so on—from micro-dwarf cherries to giant beefsteaks.

  • About 1,300 varieties are offered for sale as open-pollinated seed (organically grown or untreated); the remainder are kept for research and evaluation.

A partnership with Cycle en Terre

Since 2023 the seed collection has been hosted and distributed by the Belgian co-operative Cycle en Terre, which handles long-term conservation and shipping.
