Pomme de Terre Bernadette - Plant

The BIO Bernadette potato is an early variety with yellow skin and firm yellow flesh, appreciated for its delicate flavour and excellent cooking quality. It produces quick and reliable harvests, making it ideal for early-season consumption and home gardens.

Growing tips:

• Pre-sprouting: from February, place seed potatoes in a bright, cool (5–10 °C) and well-ventilated location.

• Planting: in March under protection or April in open ground once frost risk has passed. Space plants 30–40 cm apart with 60–70 cm between rows, at around 10 cm depth. Earth up when plants reach 15–20 cm.

• Watering: moderate, especially during tuber development in dry periods.

• Harvest: from late May to June, depending on growing conditions.

• Storage: mainly intended for fresh consumption, short storage possible in a cool, dark and airy place.

Perfect for boiling, salads or pan-fried dishes thanks to its firm texture.
