For White Head Maintenance: Sow from mid‑March to mid‑May in a nursery at 1–2 cm depth with 4 cm spacing. Transplant at the 3–4‑leaf stage at 50 × 70 cm spacing. Maturity is reached 70 days after transplanting. The foliage can be folded over the head to keep it white.
