Sow in seed trays from late April to mid-May, 1–2 cm deep at 20–24 °C. Transplant under cover or outdoors after the last frost, spacing plants 80×80 cm in rich, sunny soil. Harvest fruits from July to September when they emit a sweet fragrance.
