Pomme de Terre Monalisa - Plant

The BIO Monalisa potato is a medium-early variety with yellow skin and tender yellow flesh, well known for its culinary versatility and reliable yields. Easy to grow, it adapts well to different soil types and is suitable for home gardens.

Growing tips:

• Pre-sprouting: from February, place seed potatoes in a bright, cool (5–10 °C) and well-ventilated location.

• Planting: in March under protection or April in open ground once frost risk has passed. Space plants 30–40 cm apart with 60–70 cm between rows, at around 10 cm depth. Earth up when plants reach 15–20 cm.

• Watering: regular but moderate, especially during dry periods at tuber formation.

• Harvest: from July, once foliage starts to yellow.

• Storage: stores well in a cool, dark and well-ventilated place.

Ideal for mashed potatoes, fries, baked dishes and soups thanks to its soft texture.
