Sow in seed trays from late February to early April, 1 cm deep at 20–24 °C for optimal germination. Transplant outdoors or into a large pot from mid-May, spacing plants 40×50 cm apart. It prefers well-drained, sunny conditions and develops quickly once true leaves appear.
