The BIO Red Baron onion is appreciated for its intense red colour, crisp flesh and mild, slightly sweet flavour. Highly versatile, it can be enjoyed raw or cooked in a wide range of dishes. Bulbs are round to slightly flattened and produce reliably.
Growing tips:

Location and soil: full sun and light, fertile, well-drained soil.

Planting: sow from February to April or plant sets in spring. Space plants 10–15 cm apart with 25–30 cm between rows.

Care: keep weed-free, water moderately during dry periods only.

Harvest: in summer when foliage yellows and falls over.

Drying and storage: dry for a few days, then store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.
Perfect for salads, raw dishes, cooked meals and pickling.
