Sow in seed trays from late March to early May, 0.5–1 cm deep at 20–24 °C. Transplant outdoors from mid-May, spacing plants 50×60 cm apart in rich, sunny soil. Berries develop once the true leaves appear and are harvested from late summer until frost.
